When I began to produce digital art I took heavy inspiration from the genre of anime. I would attempt to mimic the character and background styles of various existing productions that I had watched. This experiementation with different means of lighting and shading that I observed and attempted to replicate helped me to discover my standard method of rendering that I still use today.

Additionally, this is when I began to openly explore my LGBTQ+ identity online by sharing my art through Instagram (@nonexistent_jadeartz), where I gained some attention for a number of the pieces I made.
